After the epic victory last night under the lights. All the talk of Kingsholm's atmosphere being at its best in these conditions, does it not beg the question, why not every game?

A 7pm kick off would mean time enough for local players to shower and have a post match meal and pint before heading to Kingsholm. Time after for away fans to get home before it gets too late and plenty of post match drinking (and curry eating) time for home supporters.
Plus of course those that don't play on a Saturday can spend the afternoon with their family, or go shopping, or just drink more beer pre match! It's a win/win for the fans and must be a win/win for local pubs and curry houses too.

I posted a message a few years ago about the atmosphere under lights and our record of victories under these circiumstances, especially as many are against tough opposition, asking if we could have more. The response was mostly that "we like our 3pm Saturday games". But I personally find it easier to get to evening matches, especially on a Friday night, so would prefer more of these please!
Not many people voted on this so far - in fact not too many posts on the site at all recently!

I am am a traditionalist I'm afraid. Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. is my time for sport. Lunch in town, light still good enough for first half at least without the glare of the lights in our eyes. Leave early enough before worst of winter frosts have started to descend. Then maybe time to meet up with friends before wending a weary way home celebrating a good home win. What more could anyone ask!
Please, no, not a rushed Friday evening or a late Saturday that would coincide with perhaps a birthday or family celebration.
Let's just leave well alone...if it isn't broke, don't fix it!

Location: London, but was Gloucester
This is an intersting poll, especially with our results being so good when it's been an evening game.

I can see both sides. I'm going to sit on the fence.

I used to live in Gloucester but now live in London so can't get to games as much so not really fair for me to vote.

As a visitor to your site I haven't voted. I agree that night matches (especially when you do well) can be very atmospheric but in the height of Winter it can be darned cold!!
I left Welford Road straight after the final whistle on Sunday - it was really a pleasure to get into the car and move off in moderate warmth!
